Maharashtra state govt has launched a special Covid-19 vaccination drive named Mission Kavach Kundal. the Mission Kavach Kundal will get the target of inoculating 15 lakh people every day.

Chhattisgarh gets its fourth Tiger Reserve

The Guru Ghasidas National Park and Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary in Chhattisgarh have been declared as a Tiger Reserve by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

  • It has become the fourth Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh. earlier, the Udanti-Sitanadi, Achanakmar, and Indravati Reserves were declared as a Tiger Reserve.
  • The approval was granted by the Tiger Reserve was considered by the 11th Technical Committee of the NTCA on September 1 under Section 38V(1) of The Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
