Uttar Pradesh will set up ‘Electronic Park’ near Noida
The Govt of Uttar Pradesh state will develop an ‘Electronic Park’, along the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area, near Noida. the purpose of this project will promote the electronics industry.
- The park will be set up in an area of 250 acres of the YEIDA near Jewar Airport with an investment of around Rs 50,000 crores.
- The Park will also create employment for local youths.

Iran becomes 9th member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) members have taken a decision to include the Islamic Republic of Iran from an observer state to a full member state at the 21st Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), held at Dushanbe.
- Iran was having observer status for the past 15 years, with this, Iran will be the 9th main member of the SCO.

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Shri Mansukh Mandaviya has released the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI)’s 3rd State Food Safety Index (SFSI) to measure the performance of States across five parameters of food safety to ensure safe food for citizens
Top States and UTs in Food Safety Index 2020-21
Among the larger states,
- Gujarat was the top ranking state,
- followed by Kerala (2nd) and Tamil Nadu (3rd).
Among the smaller states,
- Goa stood first
- followed by Meghalaya (2nd) and Manipur (3rd)
Among UTs,
- Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and New Delhi secured top ranks.

Air Marshal V R Chaudhari appointed as next Chief of Air Staff
India’s Govt has approved the appointment of Air Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari as the next Chief of the Air Staff (CoAS).
- Vivek Ram Chaudhari will replace the current Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal R KS Bhadauria who is set to retire on September 30th, 2021.
- Chaudhari will serve with effect from October 1st, 2021.

Samudra Shakti maritime exercise 2021: India and Indonesia join in Sunda Strait
On 20th September 2021, The 3rd edition of the bilateral maritime exercise ‘Samudra Shakti’ has been started off between India and Indonesia in the Sunda Strait, in Indonesia. The Samudra Shakti exercise will run for three days, will culminate on September 22nd, 2021 (Wednesday).
- From the Indian Side, two frontline warships Shivalik and Kadmatt, long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft P8I have joined the exercise.
- The main purpose of the ‘Samudra Shakti’ exercise is to strengthen the bilateral relationship between two navies.
- It will also enhance mutual understanding and interoperability in maritime operations as well.

World Alzheimer’s day is observed on 21st September every year across the world in order to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The main purpose of this day is to create awareness about the stigma that runs around Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia and motivate those who are suffering from it.
- The theme 2021 for World Alzheimer Day is ‘Know Dementia, Know Alzheimer’s’, and it will pay attention on warning signs of dementia.
