Iran becomes 9th member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) members have taken a decision to include the Islamic Republic of Iran from an observer state to a full member state at the 21st Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), held at Dushanbe.
- Iran was having observer status for the past 15 years, with this, Iran will be the 9th main member of the SCO.
