NSO predicts Indian economy to contract by 7.7% in 2020-21

As per the National Statistical Office (NSO), the Indian Economy will contract 8% for 2020-21.

  • The government had forecasted a GDP contraction of 7.7 per cent in its first advance estimate.
  • As per the 3rd quarter GDP data, the Indian economy came out of the recession and expanded by 0.4 per cent.

The First prime minister of Papua New Guinea, Michael Somare “father of the nation” has passed away at the age of 84. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

  • He has served four times as prime minister of the country between 1975 to 2011 (17 years Span).

The Noted and Well-known Malayalam poet Vishnunarayanan Namboothiri has passed away at the age of 81. he was a recipient of the Padma Shri (2014).
