Tripura Governor inaugurated Udaipur Science Centre at Udaipur

On 28th February 2021, Shri Ramesh Bais (Governor of Tripura) has inaugurated the Udaipur Science Centre, at Udaipur, Tripura. Rs 6 crore was funded by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Tripura Government.

  • National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) has developed this Udaipur Science Centre.
  • Udaipur Science Centre is the 22nd Science Centre.

On 4th March 2021, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri has released the final rankings of the Ease of Living Index (EoLI) 2020 and the Municipal Performance Index (MPI) 2020.

Million+ category Cities (Ease of Living Index 2020)

Less than Million category (Ease of Living Index 2020)

  • Shimla was ranked the highest in ease of living, followed by Bhubaneshwar, Silvassa, Kakinada, Salem, Vellore, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Davangere, and Tiruchirappalli.

Municipal Performance Index (MPI) 2020

it has classified municipalities based on their population- Million+ (municipalities having over a million population) and Less than Million Population.

A) In the Million+ category, Indore has emerged as the highest-ranked municipality, followed by Surat and Bhopal.

B) In the Less than Million category, New Delhi Municipal Council has emerged as the leader, followed by Tirupati and Gandhinagar.
