Online flood reporting system was launched in Assam
Assam State Disaster Management Agency has launched An online flood reporting and information management system in collaboration with UNICEF. this new system will take place of the existing manual flood control mechanism.
- The new system will start its operations from May 15 and will collect daily basis reports.
- The system will help in dealing with a flood, relief, and recovery efforts.
- it also will play a role in tracking damages to crops and loss of livestock.
- and it will provide financial assistance for restoration.

Former hockey umpire Ravinder Sodhi passes away at 66
The Former hockey umpire and technical official Ravinder Singh Sodhi has passed away at the age of 66. he was suffering from COVID-19 related complications.
- He participated in various top domestic hockey events.
- along with it, Sodhi officiated at the 1988 Indira Gandhi International Hockey Gold Cup in Lucknow.
Former CBI Director Rahothaman died at 76
The former Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Rahothaman has passed away at the age of 76 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He was suffering from Covid-19 related complications.
- Raghothaman was the chief investigation officer of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that was to be probed the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case in the early 1990s.
