Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched a new Logo for ‘Ayurveda Aahar’

Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has launched the ‘Ayurveda Aahar’ logo on the occasion of World Food Safety Day on June 7th, 2022. The ‘Ayurveda Aahar’ logo allows for “easy identification” and creates a “unique identity of ‘Ayurveda Aahar’.

  • It is also likely to “reinforce the quality” of Ayurvedic products.
  • As per the Food Safety and Standards (Ayurveda Aahar) Regulations, 2021 from FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India), Ayurveda Aahar is food prepared with the recipes or ingredients and/or processes which are mentioned in the authoritative books of Ayurveda.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister releases logo & mascot for 44th Chess Olympiad

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the logo and mascot for the 44th Chess Olympiad. 44th Chess Olympiad will be held at Mamallapuram near Chennai between July 28th 2022 and August 10th, 2022. more than 2,000 players from over 180 countries will take part in the international event.

  • CM Stalin also unveiled a countdown clock for the Olympiad at Ripon Buildings, the headquarters of the Greater Chennai Corporation.
  • After the World Championship match between India’s Viswanathan Anand and Magnus Carlsen, This is the 2nd major international chess event to be hosted by Chennai.

US passes world’s first ‘right to repair’ law for digital electronics

The New York state legislature has passed the “right to repair” bill. “right to repair” bill will require digital electronics manufacturers to make parts, tools, information, and software available to consumers and independent repair shops.

The Director-general, Doordarshan and Doordarshan News Mayank Kumar Agrawal have been given additional charge as chief executive officer, Prasar Bharati. Mayank Kumar Agrawal has replaced Shashi Shekhar Vempati who completed his five-year tenure as CEO of the public broadcaster.

India set to launch 1st human space & ocean missions in 2023

India is going to launch the first Human Space Mission ‘Gaganyaan’ and the first Human Ocean Mission in 2023, Said Space and Earth Sciences Minister Dr Jitendra Singh. 

  • The Govt will also disclose the Blue Economic Policy, and ocean-based sectors would employ roughly 40 million people by 2030.
  • Gaganyaan’s mission will include a test vehicle flight to validate the crew escape system’s performance and the first uncrewed Gaganyaan mission.
  • A second uncrewed mission in late 2022 carrying “Vyommitra,” an Isro-developed spacefaring human robot.

NASA’s DAVINCI Mission will launch in 2029

NASA will launch a mission called “DAVINCI Mission” and will be the first mission to study Venus by means of both flybys and descent. DAVINCI stands for “Deep Atmosphere Venus Investigation of Noble gases, Chemistry and Imaging Mission”.

  • The DAVINCI (Deep Atmosphere Venus Investigation of Noble gasses, Chemistry, and Imaging) mission aims to study Venus’ atmosphere-climate system and shed new light on the scorching planet’s potentially habitable past.
  • “DAVINCI Mission” will fly by Venus and explore its harsh atmosphere in 2029 and will reach the Venusian surface by June 2031.

The Agriculture Ministry unveiled India’s first Covid-19 vaccine for animals named ‘Anocovax’. ‘Anocovax’ Covid-19 vaccine has been developed by the Hisar-based National Research Centre on Equines. it can protect animals against the Delta and Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2.

  • This is the first Covid-19 vaccine for animals developed in India.
  • Ancovax vaccine can be used in dogs, lions, leopards, mice, and rabbits.
  • Ancovax vaccine is an inactivated vaccine developed using an infectious part of the Delta variant.
  • it also uses Alhydrogel as an adjuvant to boost the immune response.
