Govt launches web portal ‘Waste to Wealth’ to find solutions to India’s waste problems
The Centre has launched a web portal named “Waste to Wealth” on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.. the “Waste to Wealth” web portal aims to enhance cooperation for sustainable development through economy and community participation.
- The portal was launched by Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser and inaugurated by the Principal Scientific Advisor K. Vijay Raghavan.
- It will also enable collaborations for sustainable development.
- It will play a role to identify, develop, and deploy technologies to treat waste to generate energy, recycle materials, and extract worth.
Kamdhenu Deepawali 2021 campaign launched
Kadhenu Deepawali 2021 campaign has started off by Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria to manufacture and market Cow dung-based Deepak lamps and Laxmi-Ganesh Idols.
- Kamdhenu Deepawali aims to make Cows be economically useful with the use of Cow Dung and Cow Urine.
- Panchgavya makes Deepawali items including Deepak, Lamps, Candles, Sambrani cup, Havansamagri, Dhoopbatti, and so on.

Najla Bouden Romdhane has been appointed as the first female prime minister of Tunisia. 63-year-old Romdhane is a geology professor at the Tunis National School of Engineering.
- Najla has served in the education ministry in 2011.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Nattu Kaka aka actor Ghanshyam Nayak has passed away at the age of 77. he was suffering from cancer.
- Ghanshyam Nayak has worked in over 100 Gujarati and Hindi films.
- He also acted in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Khichdi, and Sarabhai vs Sarabhaitv shows.
- He was known for playing the role of Natwarlal Prabhashankar Undhaiwala AKA Nattu Kaka in the famous show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

World Animal Day is observed on 4th October every year. this day is also known as World Animal Welfare Day or Animal Lovers Day in the world.
- The main purpose of this day is to ensure better standards for animal welfare and to create awareness about their importance in nature.

Every year, World Habitat Day is observed on the First Monday of October throughout the world. in 2021, it will be observed on 4th October. The main purpose of this day is to promote the basic right to adequate shelter and housing for everyone in a world which is densely populated and has been affected by the impact of urbanization.
