Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha Channels as Sansad TV
The Lok Sabha TV and the Rajya Sabha TV have been merged into Sansad TV and will be replaced by a single entity Sansad TV.
- Mr Ravi Capoor (retired IAS officer) has been elected as the Chief Executive Officer of the channel.
- He will serve as CEO for a period of one year.
Thaawarchand Gehlot launches Sugamya Bharat App
On 2nd March 2021, the Social Justice and Empowerment Union Minister Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot has launched the “Sugamya Bharat App” and also launched a handbook named “Access – The Photo Digest”.
- The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) has developed The App and the handbook.
- Users can download the app from Google Playe Store. however, the iOS version is to be rolled out by 15th March 2021.
- It is a Crowdsourcing Mobile App and it will increase accessibility in the 3 pillars of the Accessible India Campaign i.e. built environment, transportation sector and ICT ecosystem in India.
- It will offer 5 features which 4 features will be associated with enhancing accessibility and one will be related to Divyangjan for COVID related issues.

BJP Lok Sabha Member Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan Passed away
The BJP Lok Sabha member Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan has passed away at the age of 69. he was a Lok Sabha member from Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh. He was suffering from COVID-19.
- He has served as MLA between 1985 and 1996.
- He started his career in 1978 at the Shahpur Municipal Council.
- he was also selected as a member of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.
- He served as the Lok Sabha member in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2014 and 2019.

The second ODI National Zone Cricket Championship League for the deaf will be conducted in New Delhi. the League will start from 1st March and will run till 5th March 2021 and will be organized by Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA).
