Piyush Goyal launched 3-day event Grand Hackathon

Union Minister Piyush Goyal launched a three-day “Grand Hackathon” organized by the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) in collaboration with NABARD at the Bombay Stock Exchange in Fort, Mumbai.

  • The “Grand Hackathon” has been subdivided into two categories; Agri Grant Challenge and Agri Innovation Hackathon which will showcase the innovations to aid the adoption of eCommerce in the agricultural sector.
  • The ONDC-NABARD Grand Hackathon will act as a springboard for start-ups to partner with ONDC and innovate solutions for some of the most pressing challenges in the agri-sector.

The Founder and Executive Chairman of Happiest Minds Technologies, Ashok Soota has been conferred with CII Quality Ratna Award 2021. In 2019, The Annual CII Quality Ratna Award was constituted in recognition of outstanding leadership, contribution, and distinguished service to the Quality Movement in India.

  • The CII Awards Committee conferred the 2021 Award to Mr Soota considering his significant contribution to building the competitiveness of the Indian industry through quality Initiatives.

International Plastic Bag free day 2022

The International Plastic Bag Free Day is observed on 3rd July every year across the globe to raise awareness regarding the issues of plastic pollution and also, it highlights the effects of plastic pollution on the natural environment ranging from land to marine.

  • The main aim of this day is to promote the use of paper bags and cloth bags and make efforts to evict the use of single-use plastic.
  • In 2008, The first International Plastic Bag Free Day was observed when Rezero, a member of Zero Waste Europe (ZWE), initiated day.
  • A year later, ZWE introduced the International Plastic Bag Free Day to the European Union.
