Global Cybersecurity Index 2020: USA tops, India at 10th place
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has released the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) 2020 on 29th June 2021. as per the Index, The USA has topped in the GCI 2020. followed by The United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia has been tied in the 2nd position and Estonia has been ranked at 3rd place in the index.
Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) Parameters:
Countries have been ranked on the basis of performance on five parameters, which includes:
- Legal measures,
- Technical measures,
- Organizational measures,
- Capacity development,
- Cooperation.
Global Cybersecurity Index India Rank
- India was ranked as the 10th best country in the world in the Global Cybersecurity Index 2020 and India has moved up by 37 places.
- India has achieved 97.5 points from 100 points.
- Apart from this, India has also secured the fourth position in the Asia Pacific region.

Anshula Rao gets Four-Year Ban, Becomes First Indian Woman Cricketer
The Madhya Pradesh allrounder Anshula Rao has been banned for a period of four years after failing a dope test. the ban was imposed by National Anti-Doping Agency. due to this, Anshula Rao becomes the first woman cricketer who has been punished for doping.
- Rao was found guilty for a banned anabolic steroid ’19- Norandrosterone, on March 14 at Baroda in 2020.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021: Shifted from India to UAE and Oman
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021’s venue has been changed from India due to the second wave of Covid-19 in the country. now, the tournament will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman from October 17 to November 14, 2021.
- The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) will host the tournament in the UAE and Oman.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021’s venue List
The tournament will be conducted across four venues, which are,
- Dubai International Stadium,
- the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi,
- the Sharjah Stadium,
- the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.

Amitabh Kant gets an extension in his Tenure as Niti Aayog CEO by One Year till June 2022
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has given its approval to extend the tenure of NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Amitabh Kant by one year period. Amitabh Kant will continue serving as NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer (CEO) till June 30, 2022.
- On 17th February 2016, Amitabh Kant was appointed as the CEO of the federal policy think tank for a period of two years.
Former Allahabad HC Judge Shambhu Nath Srivastava as Chairman of IFUNA
Justice (Retd.) Shambhu Nath Srivastava has been elected as the Chairman of the Indian Federation of United Nations Associations (IFUNA). Srivastava is a former Allahabad High Court judge and former chief Lokayukta of Chhattisgarh.
- Justice Srivastava will take place of Mukul Sangma ( a former chief minister of Meghalaya).

Sudharma Sanskrit Daily Editor K V Sampath Kumar Dies at 64
Shri K.V. Sampath Kumar Ji (the Editor of “Sudharma”, the Sanskrit daily) has passed away at the age of 64. due to a heart attack.
- He, along with his wife Vidushi K.S. Jayalakshmi was awarded the Padma Shri in 2020 for their untiring efforts to keep the publication alive against all odds
