Tamil Nadu Government Signed 8 MoUs

  • The Tamil Nadu State Govt has signed 8 Memorandums of Understandings (MoUs) of the worth of 10,399 crore rupees. these MoUs will help to create employment opportunities for more than 13,507 people.
  • 5 projects Out of 8 projects, directly signed and rest of three projects signed via video display.
  • Projects – air compressors, solar cells and modules production, ductile iron foundry, industrial parks, cashew nut processings, data centres and a foundry expansion project.

Govt Signed MoUs with Companies –

  1. Vikram Solar will invest 5,423 crore rupees amount in a solar cell and module manufacturing project at the Indospace Industrial Park in Oragadam, Kanchipuram. this move will create employment to nearly 7,542 persons.
  2. Hiranandani Group’s Yotta Infrastructure will invest 4000 crore rupees amount to build an information data centre park in Chengalpattu district. this move will create employment to nearly 2500 persons.
  3. Coimbatore based ELGi Equipments will invest 250 crore rupees amount to set up an air compressor unit. this move will create employment to 600 persons.
  4. CGD Satharai Private Limited will invest 250 crore rupees amount to set up an industrial park in Walajabad, Kanchipuram district. this move will create employment to nearly 1500 persons.
  5. NDR Integrated Industrial Park will invest 200 crore rupees amount to set up an industrial park in Ranipet district. this move will create employment to nearly 500 persons.
  6. Coimbatore-based Aqua Group will invest 200 crore rupees amount to set up Aquasub’s ductile iron foundry project in Coimbatore district. this move will create employment to nearly 400 persons.
  7. The Coimbatore-based firm will invest 40 crore rupees amount to set up Kudranesala project in Erode district.
  8. GI Agro Tech will invest 36 crore rupees amount to set up a cashew nut processing unit project in Villupuram district. this move will create employment to nearly 465 persons.
