NASA launched Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment, or MOXIE Mission as part of the Perseverance rover mission and it has been successfully making oxygen from the planet’s carbon-dioxide-rich atmosphere. MOXIE produced oxygen on 7 experimental runs, in a variety of atmospheric conditions, such as during the day and night, and through different Martian seasons.
