The country’s first Regional Rapid Transit System (India’s first RRTS corridor), the Delhi-Meerut RRTS line will use an automatic fare collection (AFC) system and tickets with QR codes for riders. with this regard, recently, National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) announced to request bids in accordance with the Modi administration’s “Make In India” standards to purchase the AFC system.
- Regional Rapid Transit System will be seamless, comfortable, simple, and quick.
- The NCRTC will present QR code tickets, which will be generated digitally on a website or mobile application.
App-based token-free ticketing system
- EMV (Europay, Mastercard, Visa) Open Loop contactless cards based on NCMC standards are to be carried on the Delhi-Meerut RRTS route.
- RRTS passengers can use ll NCMC cards issued by Indian metro networks, transportation authorities, and banking institutions.
