On 3rd November 2023, Indians are celebrating Narak Chaturdashi. it is also called Choti Diwali, Narak Chaudas, or Roop Chaudas. as per the Hindu calendar, Narak Chaturdashi is observed on the Chaturdashi of the Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. On this day, Lord Shri Krishna killed a demon named Narakasura. it is also believed that worshiping Yamraj in the morning and donating a lamp in the evening on Narak Chaturdashi can relieve the tortures of hell.

What we should do the works on the day of Narak Chaturdashi-
- Do cleanliness on the night of Chaturdashi as all we know is that The holy place is inhabited by the holy Lakshmi.
- After bathing on this day, after applying tilak on the forehead, we should do worship facing the south direction.
- According to religious beliefs, It is believed that Pawan Puttar Hanuman Ji was born on the Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. Therefore, We should do worshiping Bajrang Bali on this day to yield auspicious results.
Do not do these things on the day of Narak Chaturdashi-
- Do not kill any living being on the day of Narak Chaturdashi.
- We should not pollute the south direction on the day of Narak Chaturdashi. It is believed that by doing this the ancestors can get angry.
- We should not donate Sesame oil on the day of Narak Chaturdashi. It is believed it can make Mother Lakshmi angry.
- On the day of Naraka Chaturdashi, we should not kick the broom, nor should it be kept upright.
