Microsoft to set up India’s largest data centre region in Hyderabad – Tech giant Microsoft will establish its fourth data centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, with an investment of over Rs 15,000 crore, announced on 7th March 2022 (Monday).

  • The 4th Microsoft data centre in India will be one of the largest data centres in India and will be operational by 2025.
  • The Data Centre will help customers thrive in a cloud and AI-enabled digital economy and will become part of the world’s largest cloud infrastructure.
  • Along with it, it will also provide the entire Microsoft portfolio across the cloud, data solutions, artificial intelligence (AI), productivity tools, and customer relationship management (CRM) with advanced data security, for enterprises, start-ups, developers, education, and government institutions.

Microsoft’s data centers in India

  • Microsoft has established data centres in three Indian regions across Pune, Mumbai, and Chennai.
