Madhya Pradesh launches SAANS campaign to reduce infant mortality
The Madhya Pradesh health department has launched a new Social awareness campaign named SAANS.
- SAANS stands for ‘Social Awareness and Action to Neutralise Pneumonia Successfully’.
- The main purpose of SAANS campaign is to reduce infant mortality or death rate due to pneumonia.
- The state govt will set up 4,000 Health and Wellness Centres to implement the SAANS campaign.
- Also, MP govt partnered with PGIMER, Chandigarh, and UNICEF in order to develop training modules and the skills of health workers will be enhanced through training modules.
