Vijayanagara officially as 31st District of Karnataka
The Govt of Karnataka state has declared Vijayanagara as the 31st district of the state on February 08, 2021. the govt also issues a gazette notification regarding this.
- The new district (carved out of Ballari) will have 6 taluks and Hosapete will be its headquarters.
- The other taluks in the new district are Kudligi, Hagaribommana Halli, Kotturu, Hoovina Hadagali, and Harapanahalli.
