India to become 2nd largest economy of Asia in 2030, says S&P Global

India’s gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to increase by USD 7.3 trillion by 2030 and will leave behind Japan to become the second largest economy in the Asia-Pacific region, S&P Global Market Intelligence said.

It is also expected that India’s GDP will surpass Germany by 2030. the size of the Indian GDP already become larger than the GDP of the UK and also France in 2022.

Currently, India is the third-largest economy in the Asia-Pacific region and the fifth-largest in the world.

S&P Global Market Intelligence said – “India’s nominal GDP measured in USD terms is forecast to rise from USD 3.5 trillion in 2022 to USD 7.3 trillion by 2030. This rapid pace of economic expansion would result in the size of the Indian GDP exceeding the Japanese GDP by 2030, making India the second largest economy in the Asia-Pacific region,”
