India First Year Excellence Scholarship 2023: Eligibility, Application Process – All Indian Students who take an undergraduate course at the University of Alberta are offered an India First Year Excellence Scholarship which will be available to students beginning UG programs at the university. The scholarship is fully sponsored by the University of Alberta.
The recipients of the India First Year Excellence Scholarship will be provided 5,000 CAD, a one-time payment, for their 4-year undergraduate study course. the Scholarship will help in covering tuition and fees, but not the cost of living in Canada.
All Alberta undergraduate program holders are applicable for India First Year Excellence Scholarship. The selection of the applicant for the India First Year Excellence Scholarship will be based on his/her previous academic records.

India First Year Excellence Scholarship 2023: Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship has been specially launched and designed for Indian Students who are studying in Canada on a student visa and will be provided only to those students who have superior academic achievement and excellent high school grades.

- Must be an Indian.
- One has completed a high school education at an Indian institution.
- One has an unconditional admission letter for a UG program at the University of Alberta.
- Must be starting the chosen program in the same session and year as the scholarship.
- One has less than 24 IB, AP, or A-Level credits, before joining the university.
Eligibility for UG Admissions at the University of Alberta
- Must complete five academic subjects in classes X and XII.
- Hold High school academic transcripts.
- Must have an English proficiency score.

The University of Alberta doesn’t offer any separate application form for India First Year Excellence Scholarship. when Indian students take admitted to a UG program at the University of Alberta will be automatically evaluated for the scholarship program.

India First Year Excellence Scholarship 2023: Selection Process
- The University of Alberta’s scholarship selection committee will review the received applications of the eligible students from the admission office.
- Selection will be based on superior academic achievement and excellent high school grades.
- Recipients of the First Year Excellence Scholarship will be sent an email when he/she is eligible for the First Year Excellence Scholarship.
- Funds will be sent directly to the recipient’s student account and are automatically deducted at the time of tuition fee payment.

India First Year Excellence Scholarship 2023: Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship will NOT cover the financial needs related to living expenses or accommodation.
- It will only cover the tuition and fees.
- It will be a one-time scholarship and can not be renewable.
