IELTS General Training
If you are applying to study below degree level then the IELTS General Training test is suitable for those. The IELTS General Training test can be taken for work experience or other employment training.
IELTS Exam Fee increases to Rs. 16,250 from Rs. 15,500
The IELTS exam body increased the Pen and paper-based IELTS and Computer-delivered IELTS exam fee to INR 16,250 from April 2023. Now, Candidates who want to take the Computer-delivered IELTS exam or the Pen and paper-based IELTS exam, will have to pay an IELTS exam fee of INR 16,250 to register for the IELTS exam.
IELTS to introduce ‘One Skill Retake’ from March 2023 in India
‘One Skill Retake’ will allow studensts to appear only for the module in which they scored less. so they will not have to retake all four modules of the IELTS exam. It will be effective from March 2023 in India.

| 6 | Competent user | The test taker has an effective command of the language despite some inaccuracies, inappropriate usage and misunderstandings. They can use and understand fairly complex language, particularly in familiar situations. |
| 5 | Modest user | The test taker has a partial command of the language and copes with overall meaning in most situations, although they are likely to make many mistakes. They should be able to handle basic communication in their own field. |
| 4 | Limited user | The test taker’s basic competence is limited to familiar situations. They frequently show problems in understanding and expression. They are not able to use complex language. |
| 3 | Extremely limited user | The test taker conveys and understands only general meaning in very familiar situations. There are frequent breakdowns in communication. |
| 2 | Intermittent user | The test taker has great difficulty understanding spoken and written English. |
