First batch of stranded Indians left Sudan under Operation Kaveri– The first batch of stranded Indians has left Sudan under Operation Kaveri, External Affairs Ministry said. in a tweet, INS Sumedha with 278 people onboard has departed Port Sudan for the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah. INS Teg also joined Operation Kaveri and reached Port Sudan with additional officials and essential relief supplies for stranded Indians. This move will help in boosting ongoing evacuation efforts by Embassy Camp Office at Port Sudan.
