India launches ‘Operation Kaveri’ to bring back citizens stranded in Sudan – India launched Operation Kaveri which aims to bring back its citizens stranded in Sudan. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said that nearly 500 Indians reached Port Sudan and more are on their way. Indian ships and aircraft will bring stranded Indian nationals back home. the Government of India is committed to assisting all its brethren in Sudan.
