Bangladesh: Renowned scholar Rafiqul Islam passes away at 87: The Famous scholar and national professor of Bangladesh Professor Rafiqul Islam have passed away at the age of 87 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

• Rafiqul Islam is known as the greatest scholar on the national poet of Bangladesh Kazi Nazrul Islam.
• Rafiqul was also the recipient of the SwadhintaPadak and the Ekusheypadak award (the highest civilian award of Bangladesh).
