Arthur F. Church Mechanical Engineering Scholarships 2024 – Arthur F. Church Mechanical Engineering Scholarship is offered for UG students admitted at the University of Waterloo. It is an entrance-based award and is applicable only to those students who will be beginning their UG degree in the university’s Faculty of Engineering.
Mr. Arthur Church, Mechanical Engineering batch BASc’76 funds the scholarships. The scholarship selection committee shortlists two students based on the eligibility criteria.
- One scholarship is offered to a student in Mechatronics Engineering and,
- One scholarship is offered to a student in Computer Engineering or Systems Design Engineering.
The recipient of the Arthur F. Church Mechanical Engineering Scholarship recipient will be awarded 7,695 USD. Recipients will be able to utilize the scholarship reward amount for their respective undergraduate tuition and fees only.

Arthur F. Church Mechanical Engineering Scholarship program has no separate or additional scholarship application system. The committee will consider applicants who have applied to the engineering programs at the University of Waterloo.

Recipients will be selected based on academic merit and the applicant’s performance in the Admission Information Form (AIF). Candidates must perform exceptionally well in academics as well as extracurricular activities, and stand high chance of being chosen for the Arthur F. Church Mechanical Engineering Scholarship.
Arthur F. Church Mechanical Engineering Scholarships 2024 – Award description
Two scholarships are valued at $10,000 each, are awarded every year to outstanding students entering their first year in the Faculty of Engineering: one to a student in Mechatronics Engineering and one to a student in Computer Engineering or Systems Design Engineering.
Selection will be completed on the basis of academic excellence, extracurricular achievements as assessed through the Admission Information Form and the online video interview. This fund will be made possible by a donation from Arthur F. Church to promote exceptional students to attend Waterloo and to assist them in their scholarly pursuits.
