Every year, National Argyle Day is observed on January 8, aimed at encouraging people to express their love for the pattern derived from the tartan of Clan Campbell, of Argyll in western Scotland. The pattern includes overlapping motifs of diamonds and tablets and is quite common in sock patterns and dress designs.
