World Wetlands Day 2024: History, Significance, and Theme – World Wetlands Day is observed on 2nd February every year across the world. the main purpose of this day is to raise global awareness about the importance of wetlands, not only for people but for the planet Earth as well.

  • It also marks the day when the Convention on Wetlands was adopted on February 2, 1971. In 2024, the world will observe 53 years of the Convention on Wetlands.
