  • The World Thalassaemia Day is observed by people on 8th May every year. this day create awareness about thalassaemia disease, its preventive measures and how to avoid transmission among the people across the world.

What is Thalassaemia Disease?

  • It is blood disorder which is passed from parents to children. There are various types of thalassaemia disease. In this disease, a patient’s body starting losing the ability to produce haemoglobin and red blood cells. in other words, a thalassaemia patient will have few red blood cells and very little haemoglobin compared to a normal body. its impact can be dangerous if a person doesn’t take it seriously.
