Every year, World Oral Health Day is observed on 20 March. It is a year-long campaign dedicated to the day which aims to raise global awareness of the issues around oral health. It also highlights the importance of oral hygiene so that governments, health associations, and the general public can work together to achieve healthier mouths and happier lives.
History
In 2013, the FDI World Dental Federation started World Oral Health Day. It highlights the launch of a year-long campaign to raise awareness of oral health and prevention of oral diseases.
