What is Eat Right India movement Vision 2050
The Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Harsh Vardhan has introduced ‘Vision 2050’ of the Eat Right India Movement. it aims to get the target of the ‘Whole of Government’ approach.
Highlights Points –
- The obesity Cases grow from 9.3 per cent to 18.6 per cent among males and from 12.6 per cent to 20.7 per cent among females between 2005 and 2015.
- As per the latest updated data, half of the children and women are suffering from anaemia.
What is the Eat Right India movement:
- The Eat Right India Movement will run social and mass media campaign about the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for a period of one year. the main focus of this Movement will be a new healthy eating approach.
- The Eat Right India movement is associated with public health programmes like POSHAN Abhiyaan, Anemia Mukt Bharat, Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Swachh Bharat Mission and Fit India.
