As per the annual Gender Gap Report 2022 of the World Economic Forum (WEF), India has been ranked at 135th place in terms of gender parity. in the last year 2021, India’s rank was 140 among 156 nations. World Economic Forum (WEF) published its 16th edition of Global Gender Gap Report 2022 report.
- Iceland has maintained its top position as the world’s most gender-equal country, among 146 nations on the index.
- Followed by Finland, Norway, New Zealand and Sweden are at 2nd. 3rd, 4th and 5th place in the list respectively.
- Afghanistan has been the worst-performing country in the report.
- The Global Gender Gap Report 2022 includes four dimensions: economic opportunities, education, health and political leadership.
