Veteran archaeologist and epigraphist Ramachandran Nagasamy dies at 91 – Veteran archaeologist and epigraphist Ramachandran Nagasamy have passed away at the age of 91 due to age-related diseases. Ramachandran Nagasamy served as the director of the Government Archaeology Department in Tamil Nadu.

  • In 2018, He received the Padma Bhushan award for his research work in archaeology.
  • He was also conferred with the highest civilian award the Kalaimamani award by the Tamil Nadu government.
  • Nagaswamy has written various books and his latest book was ‘Senthamizh Naadum Pandbum’ which was published in January 2022.
