Department of Pharmaceuticals to conduct International Conference on ‘India Pharma & India Medical Devices’

The Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Dr Mansukh Mandaviya will inaugurate the 8th edition of the International Conference on ‘India Pharma & India Medical Device 2023’ conducted by the Department of Pharmaceuticals in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) from May 26 – 27, 2022 in New Delhi.

  • Minister will also launch a new scheme named ‘Assistance for Medical Devices Clusters for Common Facilities(AMD-CF), aimed at strengthening or establishing common infrastructure facilities in the medical devices clusters.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for the permanent campus of the “National Coast Guard” (NACP) at Oga in Gujarat’s Dwarka district. It was set up to impart high-level intensive training to marine police of 5 Union Territories, 9 coastal states and the Central Police Forces.

Prime Minister Modi unveiled the bust as a “symbol of Friendship and Goodwill” between India and Japan during his visit to Hiroshima for the G7 summit. This 42-inch tall bronze bust is situated along the Motoyasu River. it is sculpted by Padma Bhushan awardee “Ram Vanji Sutar”.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the three-day Sindan Shivri of Gujarat ministers and senior officials at the “Statue of Unity in Kevadia”. The Shivri will include a discussion on various topics like nutrition and sanitation, urbanization and infrastructure development in urban and rural areas, quality improvement in education and skill development.

Telangana launched ‘SAHAS’ scheme to make workplaces safer for women

In Telangana, SAHAS was launched towards making workplaces safer for women. SAHAS means Courage, is a programme that aims at strengthening the support ecosystem for women who face workplace sexual harassment.

  • Under the initiative, the SAHAS Microsite, SAHAS Sathi Chatbot, SAHAS Whatsapp Number, Forum and online support facilities were launched in Hyderabad.

NGEL-HMEL signed an MoU to promote green hydrogen business.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in New Delhi, aimed at promoting GOI’s efforts towards “Green energy and Green Hydrogen Energy Transition”. It aims to enhance cooperation in the field of renewable energy by acquiring “250 MW of RE-RTC” power to meet HMEL’s demand.

T-Hub and NRL signed an MoU

The state-owned refinery, Numaligarh Refinery Limited(NRL) and T-Hub signed an MoU on May 17th, 2023, aimed at jointly supporting business innovation and development for NRL’s flagship project ‘iDEATION’ of startups.
