The Ministry of Women and Child Development is observing Poshan Pakhwada 2021. the Poshan Pakhwada was started on 16th March 2021 and will end on 31st March 2021.

India as 2nd largest arms importer during 2016-2020

As per the report of Sweden-based think-tank Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), India becomes the 2nd largest arms importer during 2016-2020. however, imports have dropped by 33%.

  • SIPRI released its report named “Trends in International Arms Transfers-2020”.
  • India’s arms imports have been dropped from both Russia and the US fell during the 5 years period.
  • but, arms imports from Israel and France was increased, by 175% and 715% respectively.
