Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami launched ‘Milk Price Incentive Scheme’
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has launched the ‘Milk Price Incentive Scheme‘ in Dehradun. the main purpose of the ‘Milk Price Incentive Scheme‘ is to provide incentives benefiting around 53,000 people of Uttarakhand.
- The govt will spend Rs. 444.62 crore to open 500 milk sales centres in the state. the beneficiaries will be provided with the amount through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) scheme under this scheme.
- This move is for making many attempts to enhance milk production, all government claims of promoting products are proving to be fictitious.
Uttar Pradesh’s Haiderpur wetland recognised as Ramsar Site
The Haiderpur Wetland has been recognised under the 1971 Ramsar Convention on Wetlands and there is now a total of 47 such designated areas in the country.
- With this, Uttar Pradesh is now home to 9 Ramsar wetlands.
- The Haiderpur Wetland is about 10 km from Bijnor in western Uttar Pradesh.
- It provides habitat for numerous animal and plant species, including more than 30 species of plants, over 300 species of birds, including 102 waterbirds, more than 40 fish and more than 10 mammal species.
PM Modi participated in ‘Summit For Democracy’
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed the summit virtually and said that ‘democratic spirit’ and ‘pluralistic ethos’ are ingrained in Indians.
- ‘Summit For Democracy’ has been hosted by US President Joe Biden and was held between 9th December and 10th December 2021.
- A total of 100 countries participated in this ‘Summit for Democracy’.
- Russia and China were not invited to the summit and released a joint statement in which they said that the US is displaying a “Cold-War mentality” that will “stoke up ideological confrontation and a rift in the world”.
India Skills Report 2022: Maharashtra Retains Top Position
The Wheebox has released the 9th edition of the India Skills Report (ISR) 2022 in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry, Association of Indian Universities, All India Council for Technical Education, Additional Skill Acquisition Programme, and PeopleStrong and Taggd.
- As per the report, Maharashtra has retained the top position in the list of states with the highest poll of employable talent.
- Followed by Uttar Pradesh and Kerala have been ranked at 2nd and 3rd place in terms of employable talent.
- The theme of ISR 2022 is ‘Rebuilding and Reengineering the Future of Work’.
- Pune has been topped the list of cities with the highest employability and followed by Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram and Kolkata. New Delhi, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Mumbai and Ahmedabad took place in the top 10 list.

Bharti Airtel launches ‘Startup Innovation Challenge’ with Invest India
Telecom company Bharti Airtel has launched the ‘Airtel India Startup Innovation Challenge’ in partnership with Invest India. Under ‘Airtel India Startup Innovation Challenge’, early-stage technology companies will be invited to demonstrate differentiated solutions in areas such as 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Communications, Digital Advertising and Digital Entertainment.
- As per the challenge, The top 10 winners will be awarded cash prizes and will also be provided access to Airtel’s Innovation Lab.
- the winners could leverage its advanced technology infrastructure to scale up their use cases, even co-innovate with Airtel’s engineering teams.
- Airtel will close applications on January 24th, 2022 and the results will be announced on February 14, 2022.
- The winners of the challenge will receive Rs 3.5 lakh,
- The 1st runner-up will get Rs 2.5 lakh and the second start-up will be given Rs 1 lakh.

India win 41 medals at Asian Youth Para Games
India has won 41 medals (12 Gold, 15 Silver, 14 Bronze) at the 4th Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG). the 4th Asian Youth Para Games is Asia’s biggest event, was held at Riffa city, Bahrain.
- The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Bahrain has conducted the event with the help of govt.
- More than 700 athletes from around 30 countries joined in the event from 2nd December to 6th December 2021 for nine sports (Para athletics, Para badminton, boccia, goalball, Para powerlifting, Para swimming, Para table tennis, Para taekwondo, and wheelchair basketball).

- The 5th edition of the Asian Youth Para Games 2025 will be conducted in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Balkrishna Doshi honoured with the Royal Gold Medal 2022
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) will honour Ahmedabad-based Balkrishna Doshi with the Royal Gold Medal 2022, the world’s highest honour for architecture.
- Balkrishna Doshi has given a span of seven decades, with over 100 built projects, across India. The award will be presented at a special ceremony in 2022.
