India and World Bank signed a US$125 million loans to support access to Social Protection Services in West Bengal
Indian Govt and West Bengal Government have signed a $125 million IBRD loan with World Bank to support efforts to help poor and vulnerable groups access social protection services in the state of West Bengal.
- The West Bengal Building State Capability for Inclusive Social Protection Project will help in supporting such programs that provide social assistance, care services, and jobs at the state level.
- It will also focus on vulnerable groups such as women, tribal and scheduled caste households, and the elderly and households.
- Rajat Kumar Mishra (Indian Govt), Sudip Kumar Sinha (Government of West Bengal) and Junaid Ahmad, Country Director (World Bank) signed an agreement.

Yoon Suk-yeol has been elected as the new President of South Korea, after being the winner of the 2022 South Korean presidential election on March 09, 2022,
- Yoon Suk-yeol will serve as president from 10th May 2022 for a fixed term of five-years.
- Yoon Suk-yeol will replace incumbent President Moon Jae-in.

Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri Bhupender Yadav presented Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar (VRP), National Safety Awards (NSA) for the performance year 2018 and National Safety Awards (Mines) for the contest years 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
- In the case of VRP, for the performance year 2018, a total of 96 awards was given whereas, in the case of NSA, a total 141 number of (80 winners & 61 runners-up) awards were presented.
- In the case of NSA (Mines), a total of 144 awards was presented (72 Winner prizes and 72 Runner-up prizes) for the contest year 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020.

Indian pacer Sreesanth has announced his retirement from all forms of domestic cricket on Tuesday.
