Imran Amin Siddiqui as Executive Director of Indian Bank
Imran Amin Siddiqui has been designated as the Executive Director (ED) of the Indian Bank. his appointment will come into effect from March 10, 2021.
- Imran Amin will serve for a period of three years.
- Siddiqui is an engineering graduate from HBTU, Kanpur and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.
- In the beginning, He started serving Allahabad Bank and worked as an SSI Field Officer.
- he has an experience of more than 30 years in banking.
Dr GP Samanta as new Chief Statistician of India
India’ Govt has appointed Dr G P Samanta as the new Chief Statistician of India (CSI). after his appointment, he becomes the 4th CSI of India. he will serve for a period of two years.
- G P Samanta will take place of Kshatrapati Shivaji.
- Prior to this, he was serving as an adviser in the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Department Of Statistics and Information Management.
- he will also have the responsibilities of the Secretary in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI).

2nd Indo-Uzbekistan Field Training Exercise DUSTLIK begins in Ranikhet
On 10th March 2021, The 2nd edition of the joint military exercise of India and Uzbekistan ‘DUSTLIK II’ has been started in Ranikhet (Uttarakhand).
- The exercise will run till 19th March 2021 and India’s army will join the exercise with Uzbekistan’s armies.

Ivory Coast Prime Minister Hamed Bakayoko dies at 56
The Prime Minister of Ivory Coast Mr Hamed Bakayoko has taken his last breath at the age of 56. he was suffering from cancer diseases.
- Bakayoko was appointed as prime minister in July 2020 after the death of his predecessor, Amadou Gon Coulibaly.
- Hamed Bakayoko was an Ivorian politician who has served as Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire between 8 July 2020 and 10 March 2021. prior to this, He had served as the Minister of New Technologies, Information and Communication, Minister of the Interior and Minister of Defense.
