Technology Platform to empower MSMEs
On 01 June 2020, The Indian PM Narendra Modi started off CHAMPIONS the technology platform. it aims to empower Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
- Also, it is an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) based system. the National Informatics Centre (NIC) has created the entire ICT architecture without any cost.
Aim –
- CHAMPIONS portal will boost the smaller units by proving solutions their grievances. along with it, CHAMPIONS aims to support, help and encourage the MSMEs and act as real one-stop-shop solution of MSME Ministry.
About CHAMPIONS –
- CHAMPIONS means Creation and Harmonious Application of Modern Processes for Increasing the Output and National Strength. it is ICT based system that will help to all MSMEs who are in difficult situations amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Purpose
- CHAMPIONS would solve the problems of MSMEs such as finance, raw materials, labor, regulatory permissions and so on.
- it will help the MSME sector to get new opportunities such as manufacturing of medical equipments and accessories for eg. Personal protective equipment (PPEs), masks and so on.
