SBI launches SIM Binding feature for YONO and YONO Lite

State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a new and enhanced security feature named ‘SIM Binding’ in Yono and Yono Lite. the main aim of it is to provide enhanced security to all our customers and is to help them with a convenient and safe online banking experience.

• This new feature will also help in protecting customers from various frauds and offer ‘safer banking experience’
• With the new feature, YONO and YONO Lite will work only on those devices which have SIM of mobile numbers registered with the bank.

How to avail of the new Feature?

• The Users of YONO and YONO Lite will have to update their mobile apps and complete the one-time registration process on these apps to access the enhanced security features.
• Users will have to complete the registration to verify the SIM of the registered mobile number (RMN) with the bank.

Registration process on SBI YONO Lite App

Step 1: download the SBI YONO Lite App app from Play Store.

Step 2: Select the registered mobile number in which it is attached with the bank account.

Step 3: You will see a message on the screen and will click on Proceed button.

Step 4: you will get a code via an SMS and enter the code.

Step 5: Enter your name and Password and click on the REGISTER.

Step 6: Accept the term and conditions, click on the OK button.

Step 7: You will be sent an activation code (Note: This activation code will be valid for only 30 minutes).

Step 8: Enter the code and complete the activation process. Now, you can use YONO Lite App.
