President Droupadi Murmu will launch the ‘Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ on September 9, 2022. the ‘Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ aims to reinvigorate the mission of tuberculosis elimination from India by the year 2025. it will help in garnering community support for a patient-centric health system. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar, Union Ministers, Governors and Lt. Governors will be also present during the Abhiyan.
- In addition, President Murmu will launch the Ni-kshay Mitra initiative which forms a vital component of the campaign.
- The Ni-kshay Mitra portal will help in offering a platform for donors to provide various forms of support to those undergoing TB treatment.
- The Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan aims to bring together all community stakeholders to support TB treatment and accelerate the country’s progress toward TB elimination.
