PM to interact with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana in Gujarat on 3rd August
On 3rd August 2021, PM Narendra Modi is going to interact with the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana in Gujarat via video conferencing. The main aim of this program is to create further awareness about the scheme among people in the state.
About Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY)
- PMGKAY is a food security welfare scheme and was announced by the Government of India in March 2020.
- It was launched by PM Modi to provide assistance and help mitigate the economic impact of Covid-19.
- Under National Food Security Act., People are provided 5 Kg/person additional food grain Under PMGKAY.
- The program is being operated by the Department of Food and Public Distribution under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution
