The PBWC Scholarship for Young Women was established to recognize and support young women. Every year, The Professional Business Women of California (PBWC) includes awards for up to 10 high schools ranging from $1,000 to $15,000. Candidates will be chosen based on leadership, career, and future goals.
The PBWC Scholarship for Young Women aims to support the education of future female leaders. PBWC also enables these young women to reach their dreams and better their communities.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must follow the following requirements to apply for a PBWC Scholarship:
- Identify as female
- Current high school senior
- California resident

Application Process
A complete scholarship application includes:
- a complete application form
- a 500-word personal essay
- three letters of reference (two academic and one non-academic)
All applications and related documents must be submitted by 11:59 pm PT on January 26, 2024.

Scoring for PBWC’s Scholarship Program
- Each application will be carefully reviewed by multiple Scholarship Committee members.
- Applicants will get weighted and ranked through demonstrated excellence in leadership and community building, notable or unique academic or work achievements, personal stories and goals, and letters of recommendation.
Selection Process
Submit an essay, where PBWC’s Scholarship Committee including PBWC Board Members and community volunteers review their career, and future goals as well as give examples of how they have demonstrated leadership in their life.
