in order to serve as the office-bearer in the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), Deepa Malik, who is a Para-athlete, has decided to take retirement from Paralympics games.

she was the first woman from India who achieved a medal in the Paralympic Games. also, he earned 81 madels (58 national and 23 international medals) during her career.

Achievements of Para athlete Deepa Malik

  • She had received silver medal in the shot put at 2016 Paralympic Games.
  • in  2017, she was awarded with Padma Shri award.
  • She made a New Asian Record in Asian Para Games 2018 and she has been as the only Indian woman to win medals in 3 consecutive Asian Para Games (2010, 2014, 2018).
