NYSAWWA High School Senior Scholarship 2024

The New York Section American Water Works Association (NYSAWWA) Board of Governors offers the Academic Dedication Scholarship to encourage high school seniors and freshmen currently enrolled at a college/university to pursue a degree related to the water industry or pursuing an environmental degree. It includes an award of $1000.

Eligibility Criteria

Follow the Eligibility Criteria to apply for the program.

• Must be a high school senior who has been accepted into a four-year
• college/university pursuing a degree related to the water industry OR currently enrolled as a full-time freshman at a four-year college/university pursuing a degree related to the water industry.
• Must show interest in the water industry or in pursuing an environmental career. (i.e. school research; internship; job; other)
• Must be a New York State resident or attending school at an accredited New York State college or university.

• Must submit a letter briefly describing your interest in the water industry or pursuing an environmental career and any other special circumstances or reasons you are applying for this scholarship.

To win the award, you must meet the basic requirements of being a New York resident or interested in a program offered in this state. The board will also assess the applicant’s coursework in areas related to a career in the water supply sector.
