New Plant Species Discovered In Maharashtra Named After Sharad Pawar

Recently, in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur district, A new species of flowering plants have been found and has been named after National Congress Party (NCP) chief Shri Sharad Pawar.

  • The species was given the name of ‘Argyreia Sharad Chandragiri.
  • to do this, this move recognises Pawar’s contribution as Union agriculture minister.
