Every year, National Welsh Corgi Day is celebrated on March 1. The Welsh Corgi originated in Wales and is a small type of herding dog. Two separate breeds of corgi include the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
History
National Welsh Corgi Day was observed for the first time by the Omaha Corgi Crew which was established in December 2011 by a group of friends who all conveyed a love of vertically-challenged herding dogs with big hearts.
