Every year, National Homegating Day is celebrated in the United States during Super Bowl Sunday. In 2024, it takes place on February 11. On this day, the time-honored tradition of tailgating is carried indoors. Homegating Day aims to bring together families and friends when they cannot make it to the stadium. Each year more and more fans come together to celebrate Homegating Day.
History
In September 2019, the president of Tailgating Challenge, Luke Lorick established the National Homegating Day. The day aims to encourage people to do all the things one would normally do at a tailgate — games, grilling, food, friends, fun, and soaking in the festivities together.
