National Grandpa Day 2024: History and Significance
As per the Center for Economic Analysis (CenEA), Polish grandparents are the second most dedicated grandparents in the European Union after Greek grandparents. grandparents spend 9 hours a week on average with their young grandkids. They are known as Grandpas and grandmas, or ‘babcia’ and ‘Dziadek’ in Polish. ‘Dzień Babci’ or Grandma’s Day was designated by the magazine “Kobieta i Życie” in 1964.
