National Dengue Day 2023: History, Significance, Symptoms, and Prevention – Every year, National Dengue Day is observed on May 16, aimed at raising awareness about vector-borne diseases so that people can take steps to prevent the spread of diseases. Each year, The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare conducts different events to observe National Dengue Day.

National Dengue Day 2023: History & Significance

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare officially announced the annual observance of National Dengue Day on 16 May to make people educate about dengue and encourage them to follow preventive measures to stop its spread.

Symptoms of Dengue

  • headaches
  • Pain behind the eyes
  • bone, joint, and muscle pain
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Breathlessness
  • Skin rash
  • Mild bleeding (such a nose bleed, bleeding gums, or easy bruising)
