LPEA Scholarship 2025

LPEA offers two LPEA Scholarships for high school graduating students. The program includes $7,000 a year for four years, covering your tuition, fees, and books. La Plata Electric Association (LPEA) is an electric distribution company that was established in 1939. It acts in La Plata, Archuleta, and segments of San Juan, Mineral, and Hinsdale counties. The organization is offering various support programs and scholarships for students.

Eligibility Criteria

Follow the requirements for applying for the Program:

• Must be a member of LPEA.
• Must be a high school graduate from any high school or a home school program or have attained your GED within LPEA’s service territory, including Durango, Bayfield, Pagosa Springs, and Ignacio.
• Must have enrolled as a first-year student at any accredited college or university in the U.S. for the upcoming academic year.
• Must have a minimum of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent grade point average the first year, 3.0 the second year and beyond, and complete a minimum of 15 academic credits each term.
• Must have achieved a maximum of 150 credit hours.
